3. Create a Keyword rich first post and keyword rich about page.

4. Share your site with stumble and other Social Networking sites

5. Add a ping list to your blog

6. Create up to 10 Catagories (Must be keyword rich yet specific for example Top Rated Bikes | Bike Features | Bike reviews | Bike Merchendise | Green Bikes etc.
Every time you make a post select up to 5 catagories

7. Make sure your catagories are displayed on the main page.

8. When you write a post make sure you create a good keyword rich title like “Buying a green bike”. Make the whole article keyword rich (At least the first half before the read more button)

Following these simple 8 steps, you should see a tremendous difference in your traffic!

It seems if you have been out building good quality links then you should have seen a increase in PageRank. Yahoo for instance went from a PageRank of 10 to a PR of 9 We have also seen some new pages go from Pagerank of 0 to a PR 4.

There is still much of a dance and your visual PageRank may still fluctuate until the dust settles. The good news is for those of you that were busy beavers, building real good quality links than you should have seen some PageRank benefit.

I created my first website in 1995.  I guess I have been doing SEO and SEM since.  Well we had not even coined the terms yet.

I have since created dozens of websites, including CopCareer.com a Police Jobs website and ThePinPeople.com for creating custom personalized lapel pins,  just to name a few.

I graduated from Fordham University, with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management.  I have been the CEO of several businesses.  Some successul and some not so successful.  Most people don’t like to talk about our failures.  I do!  I believe it is in our failures that we learn.  Better to learn from other people’s mistakes, but our own mistakes seem to hit us in the head like a hammer, so we do truly learn from them.

I have read just about every book I could possibly find about Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization.  Some of them great, some of them just a waste of money.  I felt as though I knew more than some of the authors.  Which is truly the reason for this blog.

I try to explain to friends and colleagues that traffic is great.  It is what can make or break an online business, however……  CONVERSION RATES are the real key to success.

As the days go on, I will discuss how to focus your Search Engine Marketing and Optimizations efforts towards increasing conversions.  Let’s face it, if you only had 20 visitors coming to your website and all of them purchased your product, you would probably doing well, based on wht you are selling.  Now let’s say 10,000 visitors come to your site, daily!  And let’s say well 1 visitor buys your product or fills out your form.
